UNM Parking and Transportation Services is delighted to announce the continuation of the free Bus Pass sticker program for the coming year.

A small, circular sticker bearing the ABQ Ride logo and the number '10' is all that's required to enjoy ABQ Ride/Rapid Ride bus travel, year-round. Notwithstanding certain special events (please refer to www.cabq.gov/transit for clarification) the program allows completely free travel on any and every ABQ Ride and Rapid Ride bus. This progressive initiative is part of a wide-ranging UNM program involving UNM PATS and ABQ Ride. Completely comprehensive, this service allows the pass-holder to use as much of the city's bus transit system as they choose, as often as they like.

PATS is a key participant in the project. "Sustainability is one of our Department's, and the University's, core values," says Director Clovis Acosta. "Free public transportation for UNM is one way that we can all show commitment to both University success and environmental sustainability."

UNM staff and faculty members as well as students are eligible to benefit from this program. Staff and faculty members -including HSC and UNM Hospital staff- need to present a printout of their UNM Directory personnel details in order to validate their identity. Click below:

If you're not yet on the UNM Directory, an offer-of-emloyment letter is usually acceptable as proof of ID and any other corroborating information.

Sorry, retirees are not eligible for this program.

The sticker is then placed on their respective ID card.

In order to prove student status, students need to bring a copy of their current academic schedule indicating enrollment, and their student LOBO ID card, to any of the following outlets listed below.
