Construction of Yale/Lomas Parking Structure Commencing Monday, October 19th 2009
Parking and Transportation Services announces the commencement of construction on the new Yale/Lomas parking structure (otherwise known as the BBER Lot) beginning Monday, October 19th 2009. Scheduled completion is for fall, 2010.
During the interim period, all J Lot permit holders will be moved to T Lot. Due to the anticipated shortfall in C Lot spaces, C Lot permit holders will also be permitted to park in T Lot. T Lot is large enough to comfortably accommodate the new influx of traffic. Additionally, if desired, permit holders may exchange their permits for G Lot with the right to return to C or J permits after completion, and will have first priority to purchase structure permits.
Though we appreciate the great inconvenience construction will cause our customers, PATS is confident that the inception of the new parking structure will greatly alleviate parking congestion in the future.
Transfer of Parking Spaces Commencing Monday, October 19th 2009
Due to continued construction in the Bandelier Lot, 17 parallel parking spaces located at the junction of Redondo and Las Lomas, currently classed as being in C Lot, will be transferred for the use of B Lot permit holders.
Q Lot Overflow Situation
PATS is aware that due to the expansion and movements of other organizations on North Campus, Q Lot is currently experiencing major changes in terms of traffic flow and usage. Though the cause of the situation was beyond our immediate operational control, PATS is striving to maintain an optimum level of service and minimize the inconvenience felt by our customers during this temporary period of disruption.
Beginning Thursday, August 27, 2009, Q-Lot permit holders may receive a free temporary courtesy upgrade to T-Lot (located at the southwest corner of Lomas and University) or G-Lot (located just south of Q-Lot on University). A limited number of these temporary courtesy upgrades will be distributed at Q-Lot on a first come, first served basis between the hours of 9:00 and 10:20am on August 27, 2009.
Temporary upgrade permits MUST BE DISPLAYED on your DASHBOARD ALONG WITH your regular Q-LOT hangtag or sticker permit. These temporary upgrades will be valid through September 25, 2009. At that time we do not anticipate the need for lot overflow.
Lomas Parking Structure in Major Security Upgrade

New Parking Structures under Construction on C and J Lots TEMPORARY POSTPONEMENT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Construction of the new parking structures on C and J Lots, originally to have commenced May 20, has been briefly postponed. Therefore, C and J and reserve permit holders may continue to use those lots until construction actually begins. C and J permits will also be honored in T lot during this postponement phase.
We will notify you again as soon as we are told that construction is resumed. At that time, we will continue with the new parking arrangements as previously announced.

Closure of Bandelier Lot in Zone B
Due to the continued expansion and evolution of UNM, Parking and Transportation Services announces the closure of Bandelier Lot in B Zone.
Construction at the Science and Math Learning Center begins June 29, 2009 with a completion target of October 26, 20010. 72 regular parking spaces will be affected during this period, 56 of which will be lost permanently with the remaining 16 returning after the completion of construction.
At the beginning of construction, 15 temporary motorcycle spaces will be created at the South side of Centennial Engineering Construction Building 116.
PATS regrets the inconvenience that this operation may cause our customers, and suggests alternative parking in the Parking Services Building lot (University and Copper) and on the adjacent side street.
Changes from August 10, 2009
Parking will be limited to general permit holders with the relocation of 14 reserve spaces. Reserved space permit holders will be notified individually. This will be effective Monday, August 10, 2009, through Friday, September 4, 2009.
South Lot Summer Closure PATS announces the temporary closure of South Lot effective midnight, Friday May 15, reopening 6:30am, Monday August 24, 2009. All South Lot permits will be valid in the Q Lot.
To continue to support the SSSC, there will be a special shuttle service between Yale and the Student Support Services Center (Research Stop).
The service will operate from 6:30am at Yale and 6:40am at the SSSC, until 7:00pm. Shuttles will run continuously every 20 minutes between the two destinations.
