Permits: Commuter Student

Commuter Permits 101
Commuter Student permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and must be repurchased each year. Commuter permits are valid for an entire academic year.

Permits for Zones G, Q, and South are park and ride permits. Shuttles take students to and from these parking lots and the UNM campus. For a map of shuttle routes and parking zones, click here.

Motorcycle permits are also available for parking in any of our various motorcycle parking lots around main and north campuses. These permits apply only to designated motorcycle permit spaces.

Motorcycles 49cc or below do not require a permit.

Electric scooters require a motorcycle permit if the manufacturers deem it to be a road-going vehicle, as opposed to a toy.
