Permits: Motorcycle
Permits

Motorcycle permits for machines 50cc and above cost $70 annually and are purchased in the same way as other vehicles. Mchines under 50cc are free. Your UNM ID and motorcycle registration details are required at the Parking and Transportation Services counter.

If you have a car permit, motorcycle permits are free, though you still have to register the individual machine along with your car.

Motorcycles are only to be parked in specified motorcycle areas on campus car lots. Motorcycles are not to be parked in car parking spaces or wherever there might appear to be a space big enough. However, zoning is unrestricted and motorcycles are free to park across campus, where permissible.

Unless under the manufacturer's specifications they are designated as toys, electric scooters are classed as motorcycles.
