New Pay Stations Vehicle Info Update

PATS is upgrading all coin-operated parking meters to new card-only pay stations. The new pay stations will accept credit cards, ensuring our customers a better, faster and more convenient service without the encumbrance of having to carry around small change. Cash will only be accepted in the Cornell Visitor Parking Garage on campus.

Pay-by-space is simplified to per-whole-hour. Parking time can be purchased either by the individual hour, or in 8-hour increments. Simple, safe and secure, the new pay stations are a further step in our mission to improve customer service and provide a higher-quality parking experience at UNM.

New Pay Station Information:

  • Pay stations do not accept cash except in the Cornell Visitor Parking Garage. If you will be using a debit card, we currently only accept VISA or Mastercard.
  • Parking time is charged in minimum blocks of 1 hour -no half-hour rate.
  • Parking time is sold at $1.75 per hour.
  • Parking time can be increased by the hour, or in 8-hour increments by using the 'Max' button.
  • Pay-and-display. Valid ticket must be displayed on driver's side of dashboard at all times.
  • Pay stations eliminate need for correct change.
  • Pay stations are simpler to operate than parking meters

Day permits can be purchased from the main PATS office, on the NW corner of University and Central, Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm.
