PATS Limited Operations

Due to the Governor’s declaration of a state of emergency and the Secretary of Health’s public health order, the University of New Mexico has made the difficult decision to implement limited operations for our university to prioritize the health and safety of our students, employees and the public.

Effective Tuesday, March 17, UNM Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) is making temporary changes in its business, parking, shuttle and enforcement operations. These changes are expected to remain in effect until the University returns to normal business on Monday, April 6. As this is a very fluid situation, please be sure to check UNM PATS website and UNM’s COVID-19 website for any additional changes or updates.

PATS temporary changes in operations are as follows:

BUSINESS OPERATIONS
PATS Business Office, located at 2401 Redondo Dr. NE, will be closed for in-person services efective Tuesday, March 17 and until the University returns to normal operations. Online services like managing your parking account, appealing a citation, etc. is available on our website at pats.unm.edu. PATS’ primary email account and phone number (parktran@unm.edu and 277-1938, are being monitored by staff Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Please be aware that because of the high volume of emails and calls a formal response may be a bit delayed.

PARKING ENFORCEMENT
Effective Tuesday the 17th, parking will be allowed in any available regular permitted parking space that is not otherwise restricted by signage. Please be aware that parking spaces that are restricted by signage – e.g. Reserved, ADA, Patient/Guest/VIsitorFire Lanes, barricaded spaces, etc. – will continue to be enforced M-F, 7am-5pm.

SHUTTLE SERVICE
Shuttle service has been suspended pending the University’s return to normal operations. Please check PATS website for updated shuttle information, e.g.routes and schedules.
