Motorcycle, Moped, & Scooter Parking

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) has designated motorcycle, moped, and scooter permit parking available in various convenient locations around UNM. Park at your own risk! Read the full parking liability waiver.

Motorcycle

• If you purchased a vehicle parking permit from PATS, our office will provide one (1) motorcycle permit at no additional cost to you.
• The motorcycle must be registered in your name
• Bring you motorcycle registration information (make, model, year, color, license plate number, VIN, and expiration date)

Note: Campus residents residing in Residence Life & Student Housing or Casas del Rio are not eligible for a free motorcycle parking permit. No visitor motorcycle parking available. Visitor motorcycle may park in any available pay station parking spaces and must pay the posted rate.

Moped/Scooter

If you purchased a vehicle parking permit from PATS, our office will provide one (1) moped/scooter permit at no additional cost to you. The moped/scooter must be registered in your name Bring your moped/scooter registration information (make, model, year, color, license plate number, VIN, and expiration date) In accordance to PATS Parking Regulations, Sections 11.1 to 11.4 (page 14), registration is required for mopeds or scooters with an engine capacity of 50 cc or higher, applicable to faculty, staff, and students.

Note: Campus residents residing in Residence Life & Student Housing or Casas del Rio are not eligible for a free moped/scooter parking permit. Mopeds/Scooters are not permitted to park at bike racks or on sidewalks and UNM Policy 2260 prohibits use of pedestrian walkways.
