Bike Valet Program
Welcome to the UNM Bike and Scooter Valet! Parking & Transportation Services (PATS), with funding from the Student Fee Review Board (SFRB), has launched a Bike Valet pilot program on Central Campus for Academic Year 2025–26. This new service promotes sustainable, active transportation by offering added convenience and an extra layer of staffed oversight beyond standard bike racks. The pilot will also help UNM explore how a staffed bike valet model could support alternative transportation options - like bikes, scooters, and other non-car travel modes. Funded by Student Fees, Operated by PATS. |

The UNM Bike Valet is a free, staffed parking service* for UNM students, faculty, and staff. You can park your bicycle, scooter, e-bike or multimodal vehicle (MMV) during valet operating hours and enjoy:
- A monitored parking area staffed by trained attendants
- A quick & easy check-in/check-out process
- A convenient way to reduce car dependency and support a greener campus.
This pilot also helps UNM test whether a staffed bike valet model could support long-term, flexible transportation options like bikes, scooters, e-bikes & other non-car travel modes on campus.
Why it matters:
- Provides enhanced oversight for bike, scooter, e-bikes & MMVs parking where it's needed most.
- Encourages more of our campus community to ride to campus - easing parking demand and promoting healthier, more sustainable travel choices.
- Supports UNM 2040 Goal 4: Sustainability - promoting low-emission, active transportation & safe mobility.
