UPDATE: Start date has been postponed for the relocation of Construction Fence Relocation – Phase 4 of the College of Nursing & Population Health Excellence (CON-PHE) until UNM’s 2022 Winter Break
UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) would like to inform M permit holders that with the Phase 4 relocation of the construction fencing for the CON-PHE project that is now expected to occur on/around Dec. 27, 2022, traffic flow in and around the M-Family Practice (M-FP) parking lot will again be impacted. Construction fence relocation now set to begin during UNM’s Winter Break. Changes will allow for the creation of the “plaza” pedestrian area between Domenici II and the new facility, as well as help facilitate the construction project itself. Here’s what you need to know:
Traffic Flow Information
- 27 / UNM Winter Break–April 2024 (approximately), fencing will be adjusted to accommodate accessible parking spaces and a limited number of temporary M permit parking spaces between the west edge of the Domenici III building and the construction site.
- Vehicle access to the parking, including the accessible parking spaces, will be from the east entrance by Domenici III. This small parking area will be “no outlet” (see page 2 of attached map).
- All other traffic will still need to enter and exit the M-FP lot using the M-Dental lot entrance located just east of the Tucker/Yale intersection (see page 1 of attached map).
We fully expect there to be ample parking available in other M-lots for permit holders. However, if you have trouble finding a parking spot due to the closures and construction activity, please call us at 505-277-1938 and we will provide you with an alternative/overflow parking solution.
