UNMPD Headquarters Parking Locations – 4.8.2025

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) would like to inform “GR” permit holders as UNM prepares for the construction of the new Police Department Headquarters (PDHQ), PATS has made several adjustments to GR parking solutions. Here is what you need to know:

Parking Locations:

  • “GR” permit holders may utilize the following lots:
    • Select F/GR lots along Sigma Chi Road and Mesa Vista Road between Yale and University Boulevard
      • F/GR lot near Chi Omega House
      • F/GR lot on Lomas and Yale Boulevard
      • F/GR lot across from HOPE, Building #191
      • F/GR lot next to Research Integrity, Building #185
    • GR-lot on Mesa Vista Road West of University Boulevard
    • GR/R/E lot on Lomas and Yale Boulevard, North of the Yale parking structure
    • GR/J lot on University and Lomas Boulevard
  • If above lots are full, “GR” permit holders are encouraged to contact PATS at (505) 277-1938 for assistance. Parking Service Reps are available to assist Monday through Friday, 7:30 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Avoid Parking Citations:

  • Properly display your parking permit. If using a sunshade, ensure the permit is visible on rear view mirror or on driver-side dashboard. Permit number and expiration date must be visible. Visit pats.unm.edu/citations for permit placement & better parking tips.
  • Observe parking restrictions. Never park in spaces designated with special signage, such as ADA, reserved, official/service vehicle only, or loading zones.
