UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) is notifying the UNM community and visitors there will be HEAVY TRAFFIC from Thursday, May 15 to Saturday, May 17. Here’s what you need to know:

Event information:

  • Thursday, May 15
    • Graduation Photos at the “U”, 5 P.M. at Hodgin Hall
    • Anderson School of Management Convocation, 6 P.M. at The Pit
    • Albuquerque Isotopes vs Tacoma Raiders, 6:35 P.M. at Isotopes Park
    • Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, 7:30 P.M. at Popejoy Hall
  • Friday, May 16
    • Graduate Commencement Ceremony, 6 P.M. at The Pit
    • Albuquerque Isotopes vs Tacoma Raiders, 6:35 P.M. at Isotopes Park
    • Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, 7:30 P.M. at Popejoy Hall
  • Saturday, May 17
    • Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony, 9 A.M. at The Pit
    • Departmental Convocations, 10 A.M. to 7 P.M. at Central Campus
    • College of Education & Human Sciences Convocation, 6 P.M. at The Pit
    • Albuquerque Isotopes vs Tacoma Raiders, 6:35 P.M. at Isotopes Park
    • School of Architecture Convocation, 7 P.M. at the Student Union Building
    • Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, 7:30 P.M. at Popejoy Hall
    • School of Medicine MD/PhD Convocation, 8 P.M. at the Kiva Auditorium

Traffic Congestion:

  • Heavy vehicle and foot traffic around Central and South campuses
    • Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard intersection
    • Redondo Drive East
      • Congestion from Campus Boulevard to Princeton Drive

Parking Information:

  • Graduates, undergraduates, and guests do not need to pay for parking at The Pit
    • Paid parking locations are for Isotopes game attendees
    • Visit unm.edu/parking for parking locations for commencement ceremony.

Event parking not permitted for:

  • R-lot or S (Lomas parking structure)

Alternative routes/parking:

  • PATS enforcement officers will be on site to provide traffic and permit control on Central Campus.
