J/F/GR Lot near Contract Archaeology (#273) to be closed 11/1/26

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) would like to inform “J”,”F” and “GR” permit holders as UNM prepares for the construction of the new UNM School of Medicine. PATS is notifying you that the J/F/GR Lot adjacent to Contract Archaeology (Building 273) will be permanently closed beginning November 1, 2026.

 

Parking Locations:

  • “J” permit holders
    • The J lot located east of the Facilities Services Bldg # 204 in the J/M – Facilities Services lot.

  • The “F” zone, F-UNM Business Center lot near the UNM Business Center Bldg #183 will not be affected, but the designated “J/F/GR” lot located near Bldg 273 will be permanently closed
    • “F” and “GR” parking for valid “F” and “GR” permit holders are still available at these locations
      • F/GR lot near Chi Omega House
      • F/GR lot on Lomas and Yale Boulevard
      • F/GR lot across from HOPE, Building #191
      • F/GR lot next to Research Integrity, Building #185
      • F/GR lot on Sigma Chi to the west of Research Integrity, Building #185
    • GR-lot on Mesa Vista Road West of University Boulevard

  • If the above lots are full, permit holders are encouraged to contact PATS at (505) 277-1938 for assistance. Parking Service Reps are available to assist Monday through Friday, 7:30 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Avoid Parking Citations:

  • Properly display your parking permit or make sure your virtual permit is properly attached to your vehicle license plate. Visit pats.unm.edu/citations for permit information and better parking tips.
  • Observe parking restrictions. Never park in spaces designated with special signage, such as ADA, reserved, official/service vehicle only, or loading zones.
