2025 Winter Break Parking Closure – 12.23.2025

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) is notifying our “R” permit holders and campus partners that the “R” zone gates will be CLOSED 24/7 during the 2025 Winter Break. Here’s what you need to know:
Parking Lot Impact:
- Gated entrances to “R” zone parking lot located along Girard Avenue and on East Redondo (across from Johnson Field)
- CLOSED 24/7 starting on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 after 10 p.m. to Monday, January 5, 2026 at 6 a.m.
- Gated area will only be accessible to approved individuals with a valid LoboID card
- Vehicles may exit 24/7 but will need a valid LoboID to access area
- If the gate is malfunctioning, call UNMPD Dispatch at (505) 277-2241 to report the issue. Valid “R” zone permit holders will need to park in another “R” zone location until maintenance can be conducted.
