Intermittent Road/Lot Delays: Route 66 Summerfest & Lobo Volleyball Summer Camp – July 22

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) is notifying R-lot permit holders and the UNM community to expect HIGH VEHICLE TRAFFIC on Saturday, July 22 due to several special events. Here’s what you need to know:

Road Closures/Delays

  • Route 66 Summerfest, all day road closure
    • Central Avenue from Girard Boulevard to Washington Street
  • Lobo Volleyball Summer Camp, high traffic from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Redondo Drive along Johnson Gym & Johnson Field

Parking access for specific lots or permit types

  • R-Lot on Central Avenue & Girard Boulevard will be closed
  • R-Lot entrances along Girard Boulevard will be closed

Alternative routes/parking

  • UNM Shuttles will provide Park & Ride services from the T-lot on the southwest corner of Lomas Boulevard and University Boulevard to Route 66 Summerfest drop off location on the corner of Central Avenue & Girard Boulevard.
  • R-lot permit holders will need to use the Southwest entrance of Redondo Village and display an active “R” permit for access to R zone parking.
  • PATS enforcement offices will be on site to provide traffic and permit control.
