Intermittent Road/Lot Delays: Route 66 Summerfest - 7.20.2024

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) is notifying R-lot permit holders and the UNM community to expect HIGH VEHICLE/FOOT TRAFFIC on Saturday, July 20 due to Route 66 Summerfest. Here’s what you need to know:
Road Closures/Delays
- Route 66 Summerfest, all day road closure
- Central Avenue from Girard Boulevard to Washington Street
Parking access for specific lots or permit types
- R/E-Lot on Central Avenue & Girard Boulevard will be closed
- R-Lot entrances along Girard Boulevard will be closed
Alternative routes/parking
- UNM Shuttles will provide Park & Ride services from the T-lot on the southwest corner of Lomas Boulevard and University Boulevard to Route 66 Summerfest drop off location on the corner of Central Avenue & Girard Boulevard.
- R-lot permit holders will need to use the Southwest entrance of Redondo Village and display an active “R” permit for access to R zone parking.
- PATS enforcement officers will be on site to provide traffic and permit control.
