UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) would like to inform the UNM community to expect HIGH TRAFFIC & ROAD DELAYS on Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16 because of multiple events. Here’s what you need to know:

Thursday, May 14 Special Events

  • UNM Department Convocations, Various Locations – 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Road Delays for Thursday, May 14:
    • Traffic congestion around UNM campuses due to convocations

Friday, May 15 Special Events

  • UNM Department Convocations, Various Locations – 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • 360 AllStars – Urban Circus, Popejoy Hall – 7:30 p.m.
  • Road Delays for Friday, May 15:
    • Traffic congestion around UNM campuses due to convocations
    • Traffic congestion along Redondo Drive near Cornell parking structure for event parking

Saturday, May 16 Special Events

  • UNM Spring 2024 Commencement, University Arena “The Pit” – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • UNM Departmental Convocations, Various Locations – 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • NM Philharmonic’s Classic Schumann & Mahler’s Fifth, Popejoy Hall – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Road Delays for Saturday, May 16:
    • Traffic congestion on Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard
    • Traffic congestion around UNM campuses due to convocations
    • Traffic congestion along Redondo Drive near Cornell parking structure for event parking

Event parking not permitted for:

  • “R” Zones and “S” – Lomas Parking Structure
  • “A/E” lot event parking in ParkMobile zone 521 only

Alternative routes/parking

  • Yale parking structure, located near Yale & Lomas Boulevard
  • Paid Parking locations
