South Lot High Traffic Advisory

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) would like to notify South Lot permit holders that South Lot is expected to experience heavy traffic Friday, May 4th and Friday, May 11th.
UNM Athletics is hosting the NMAA State Track and Field Championship (May 4-5 and May 11-12) and will be closing the North 3 and 4 lots on both Friday’s for their use. Students will have parking available in South Lot (A.K.A. Stadium East) as usual.
Additionally, on Friday, May 11, there will also be four baseball games at Isotopes Park (9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.). In order to minimize impact to Science & Technology Park (STP) parking, attendants will be conducting permit control at STP until 2:00 p.m.
Due to these scheduled events, please anticipate a higher than normal volume of traffic near the UNM Track & Field Stadium and around Isotopes Park, and allow extra time for travel and parking on those dates.
As a reminder, South Lot will close for the summer effective 7 p.m. on Friday, May 11th through Sunday, Aug. 19th. During the summer closure, South Lot permits will be honored in Q Lot (shuttle service provided by the G/Q Shuttle route). Permit parking in South Lot (aka Stadium East) will resume with the start of the 2018-2019 Fall Semester at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018.
