Announcement: Fall-Only student parking permits to be offered in addition to annual parking permits

 

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) is excited to announce that starting this fall, Academic Year 2021-2022 (AY2021-2022), students will have the option to purchase either a Fall-Only parking permit or a regular annual (full academic year) parking permit. The new Fall-Only permits will be available to purchase for most of the student parking zones.

 

To purchase a Fall-Only permit, log in to your Parking Account on pats.unm.edu, click on “Manage My Account” and select the "Fall" version of your parking permit.  

 

All AY2021-2022 student permits, including the Fall-Only permits, become available to purchase on-line starting at 7:30 a.m. as follows:

 

  • Resident permits (available for students living in campus housing) – Thursday, July 29.
  • Proximity permits (includes Yale Structure) – Tuesday, 3
  • Commuter permits – Thursday, 5

As a reminder, all students who plan to park a vehicle on campus must purchase a parking permit or pay for hourly parking.  Due to limited availability, all permits are sold on a first come, first served basis. Most permits sell out quickly; you should plan to purchase your permit ASAP at 7:30 a.m. on the day permit sales open for the permit you want. 

 

Pro Tip: Get a head start by creating your parking account in the Parking Portal BEFORE permit sales start. Go to pats.unm.edu, “Manage My Account” and follow the steps to enter your vehicle information, current mailing address, etc.
