Intermittent Road Delays – UNM Commencement Ceremonies & Hamilton Broadway Musical
UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) would like to advise the UNM community to expect HIGH VEHICLE/FOOT TRAFFIC AND ROAD DELAYS on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13 due to multiple special events taking place on our campuses. Here’s what you need to know:
Special Events:
- Main UNM Commencement Ceremony – The Pit
- Saturday, May 13 at 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- UNM Departmental Convocations – Various Locations around UNM
- Friday, May 12 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, May 13 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Visit unm.edu/convocations/ for locations, dates, and times of departmental convocations
- Hamilton Broadway Musical
- Friday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, May 13 at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.
Traffic Congestion and Road Delays:
- Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard around The Pit
- UNM Central Campus
- Redondo Drive, Las Lomas Road, and Campus Boulevard
- Cornell and Yale parking structures
Visitor & Pay Station Parking Options:
- Cornell parking structure, located across from UNM Bookstore on Redondo
- Yale parking structure, located on Yale Boulevard just south of Lomas Boulevard. Pay station parking is available on 1st and 2nd levels only.
- Various locations across campus.
Event parking NOT permitted for:
- Any part of the R Zone including the “R/E” lot located on the Northwest corner of Central Avenue and Girard Boulevard
