UNM Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) would like to inform the UNM Community that construction work to create a new connection between Redondo and Central will begin on Monday, May 14th.

Construction work will be performed in the “A” Lot to extend Princeton Dr. north of the new intersection on Central, intersecting with Redondo. Once the new roadway is in place, “No-Name Road” will be back-filled and a new entrance to the R-Central & Girard parking lot will be created. During construction, parking spaces adjacent to the work area will be closed. The construction project will help to improve access to south end of Main Campus.

Construction is expected to last through early August 2018 and will impact both the “A” Lot and the R-Central & Girard Lot. While the work is being performed, PATS will be carefully monitoring the impact to parking in the A and R Lots and, if necessary, may change how these lots are used by permitted and non-permitted vehicles (e.g. the “3:45 Rule”).

If you are an “A” or “R” permit holder and are having difficulty finding parking in the “A” or “R” Lots, please call UNM PATS at 505-277-138 during business hours (7:30am-5pm, Monday - Friday).

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. To ensure everyone’s safety, please use caution in the parking lots and be mindful of the workers that are on-site.
