Heavy Traffic Advisory for UNM Main Campus July 20-21

Multiple Scheduled Events 

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) would like to inform the UNM community that UNM main campus will experience heavy traffic beginning on Friday, July 20, 2018 through Saturday, July 21st. Scheduled events at Popejoy Hall, Johnson Center, and in Nob Hill (the Route 66 Summerfest) could cause traffic congestion along Redondo Dr. and around Johnson Field.

 

Please note that the “R” parking lot located on the northwest corner ofCentral and Girard will be closed for special event use on Saturday, July 21st.  “R” permit holders will have parking available in all other “R” parking zones which will be enforced (be sure to display your permit as required). PATS Enforcement Officers will be on site to provide traffic and permit control for permit holders, visitors, and special event shuttles.

 

Visitors and vehicles not displaying permits will be directed to park at pay station parking, which is available in the Cornell parking structure (near Redondo and Stanford) and the Yale parking structure (near Lomas and Yale).    

 

Please be sure to follow all detour and traffic signs. To ensure everyone’s safety, use caution when driving and be especially mindful of pedestrians in the area.
