Notice: Heavy Traffic for Upcoming Summer Events

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) would like to inform faculty, staff, student and visitors that UNM central campus will experience heavy traffic on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Several special events are scheduled on this day and could cause traffic congestion on Redondo Dr. along Johnson Field and in the adjacent parking zones.
The special events include but are not limited to:
- Route 66 Summerfest in Nob Hill
- Volleyball Tournament at Johnson Center
During this time, PATS enforcement officers will be on site providing traffic and permit control. The R-Central & Girard Lot will be closed, and entrances from Girard to the R zone lots will also be closed. Resident students displaying active “R” permits will need to enter the R zone from the entrance south of RVA. Please be sure to display your permit in your vehicle as required.
Please anticipate a higher-than-normal volume of traffic along Redondo Drive in and around Johnson Center, and allow extra time for travel and parking on campus. Contact UNM PATS at 505-277-1938 or at parktran@unm.edu if you have any questions.
