Notice: Winter Intersession & Break Schedules

UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) would like to inform customers of upcoming departmental schedule changes due to the UNM 2022 Intersession (Dec. 19–22, 2022, and Jan. 3–13, 2023) & Winter Break (Dec. 23, 2022–Jan. 2, 2023).  

BUSINESS OPERATIONS   

Dec. 19–22, 2022 (Intersession)    

o   The Business Office (aka the parking office) will follow its regular schedule Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m. As a reminder, you can manage your parking account, e.g., add a new vehicle, appeal a citation, etc., through your parking account: pats.unm.edu, My Parking Account.   
   

Dec. 23, 2022 –Jan. 2, 2023 (Winter Break) 

o   The Business Office will be closed due to university closure.   
   

Jan. 3–13, 2023 (Intersession / Spring Semester)  

o   The Business Office will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m.   

  

ENFORCEMENT   

Dec. 19–22, 2022 (Intersession)   

o   Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.    
   

Dec. 23, 2022–Jan. 2, 2023 (Winter Break)   

o   No enforcement due to university closure.   
   

Jan. 3–13, 2023 (Intersession)   

o   Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.– 6 p.m.    

Jan. 3–13, 2023 (Spring Semester)

  • Regular enforcement hours will resume at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, with the start of the spring semester. (UNM is closed on Monday, Jan.16 for the national holiday.) 

   

*Per UNM Parking Regulations, please remember that any/all parking space restricted by signage, e.g., ADA, Reserved, Patient/Guest/Visitor, Pay Station, etc., as well as parking in the student resident parking areas (e.g., “R” zone) can be enforced 24 / 7.    

   

SHUTTLE SERVICE   

Dec. 19–22, 2022 (Intersession)  

  • Shuttle Service will operate from Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m.–7 p.m.   
  • The early morning north campus route will continue to operate from 4:30 a.m.– 6:30 a.m. between the G, K and Q lots and HSC/North Campus.
  • The SSSC/Lobo Village route schedule can be viewed here.
  • The Rainforest shuttle route schedule can be viewed here.
  • The Mesa del Sol (MdS) shuttle service does not operate when classes are not in session.    
  • South Lot will be temporarily closed, and shuttle service suspended during intersession. During Intersession, South Lot permits will be honored in Q Lot, which is located just northeast of University Blvd. and Camino del Sol intersection.  
  • The Night Bus shuttle will not operate as shuttle service ends at 7 p.m.   
       

Dec. 23, 2022–Jan.2, 2023 (Winter Break)    

  • No shuttle service due to university closure.   

Jan. 3–13, 2023 (Intersession):   

  • Shuttle Service will operate Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–7 p.m. (See details above for specific route information.)     
  • South Lot will be temporarily closed, and shuttle service suspended.

During Intersession, South Lot permits will be honored in Q Lot, which is located just northeast of University Blvd. and Camino del Sol intersection.

  Jan.17, 2023  (Spring Semester)

  • Regular shuttle services and operations including early morning north campus and service to South Lot will resume at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, with the start of the spring semester. (UNM is closed on Monday, Jan.16 for the national holiday.) 
  • South Lot permits will NO LONGER be valid for use in Q Lot.
