High Traffic and Parking Closures on 10/25
October 24, 2022 - PATS Admin
UNM Parking & Transportation Services (UNM PATS) would like to inform the UNM community that due to a scheduled event, parking spaces located between PAÍS and the Center for the Arts buildings (Popejoy, etc.) and the driveway leading back to the SUB Loading Dock will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The event also requires the partial closure of Cornell Parking Structure. Here’s what you need to know:
Expect High Traffic
- Starting at 12:00 p.m. Stanford Dr. between Central and Redondo will be closed in both directions and traffic diverted to Princeton Dr.
- Please expect more vehicle and pedestrian traffic than usual on Redondo Dr. between Yale Blvd and Stanford Dr.
- Please avoid the area if possible and follow all traffic and/or detour signs.
- To ensure everyone’s safety, please use caution when in the area and be mindful of the pedestrians in the area.
Parking Impacts
- UNM PATS will contact Reserved Parking owners affected by this closure, by the end of business today, with details on the temporary relocation of their parking spaces.
- Two temporary ADA Parking spaces will be made available in the pay station parking spaces along Redondo Dr. and just south of PAIS to replace the spaces that will be closed for this event.
- Additional pay station parking is located in the Yale Parking Structure. If you have trouble finding a parking spot due to the closures and event activity, please call us at 505-277-1938 and we will provide you with an alternative/overflow parking solution.
As always, if you have any questions about this notice, please feel free to contact us by phone or email. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
